Drama Buzz was created as a means of helping children and teens develop their acting and singing skills in a group setting. While we do not coach our students individually, we have a wonderful team of volunteer choreographers and directors who teach them the fundamentals of drama. We strive to create a Broadway-like environment that promotes teamwork, learning, and of course, fun.

From our start in 2009 with our début production, The King and I, Drama Buzz has continued to entertain audiences with wholesome family entertainment. We envision a community where homeschooled children can develop and perform in an ethical, healthy, and fun environment.

We have put on 13 productions in total to date, seven of which have been performed in our longtime home, the Roodepoort Theatre. All of our performances are put together by volunteering parents. Although we occasionally outsource some of our prop-building and costume-making, the bulk of the work is done by the parents of our students. Likewise, our directors and choreographers are volunteering moms. Each year we have seen exponential growth both in numbers and in the skills of our cast members. Our goal is to entertain audiences with clean, wholesome family entertainment.
